Oh boy! I really enjoyed that movie. It is light and frothy entertainment of the best kind.
The start is very pacy and fast, the group get up into space and are hit by cosmic rays, then they are back on Earth, but transformed into superhumans.
Ah! ya gotta love comic book science.

Yes, Fantastic Four was very well done. I'm glad they didn't try to come up with some plausible explanation as to why they were transformed, because, let's face it, there is none. And let's not even mention the law of conservation of mass when Ben transforms. We just have to accept it's comic book science, and the laws of physics as we know them do not apply.

Fortunately, the story is very strong and carries us along so we don't care about any akward science laws. A lesser movie would have had a five minute launch sequence when they go into space, and a half-hour rescue sequence to bring them back, neither of which would have done anything to advance the plot. We're just brought there, and we can fill in the gaps in our imagination.

Oh, by the way, I noticed this forum was accepting anonymous posts. Fixed that now, so you'll have to log in in future.

It's clobbering time!
