Bought some comics, so quick over view

Powers 13 - Bendis and Oeming continue their cop story set in a world of super heroes. Its quite good at the moment and makes one want for more pages per issue. Looking forward to see what hepens to Deena.

Infinate Crisis 1 - The bad guys versus teh good guys in a big way. Nopt sure I am enjoying this as much as I did Identity Crisis -w hich has to be one of teh best DC superhero comics I have read in a loooooonng time. I was a bit dissapointed by the last page of this issue, seems to be meandering down a dodgy path, but will continue.

Justice 1 and 2 - based on advice from my Comic Shop owner type, I bought these two, and was as usual, very impressed. Mini series. The artwork is by Alex Ross, who does a superb job, all painted and very realistic. The story is good too, so far. Some of the scene are really well thought out, If I am ever rich enough to own a a knight club, I know what I'd call it.

watching out for

I am keeping an eye on DMZ and all star superman which looks interesting.

James, did you read the omac project? Before getting into the new crisis?

There is a really nice arc for batman between Identity Crisis and the first infinite crisis.

It as to be said though; events like Identity crisis are great for people who know relitively litte about the DCU. Unfourtunately the end of the first infiite crisis leaves me cold as I never got round to reading all of crisis on infinite earth's.

Spoiler of the end of isue 1 follows, highlight to read...

How is undoing crisis on infinite earths supposed to do anything but ailenate the new readers they got with Identity Crisis?

Spoiler over!

Actually JSA Classified is feeding into the new crisis an a quite nice way. It's also the artist and the inker from The PRO which is what made me pick it up in the first place.

Daredevil: the murdock papers remains great.

New Avengers has the funniest scene this month. Luke cage with his own personal soundtrack.

I got cought up with New Avengers. It's a really intresting book. Something is allways hapening. It really uses that ritch continuity fo the marvel universe. From Pulse to dissasembled then on to Triuth, past some things I'm sketchy on and ending up with new avengers. But it's not head scratchingly overcomplicated, it's reveling in having a kenitic dynamic story. Hopefully it won't settle down into a rut.

Same thing goes for She-Hulk. No seriously, hear me out.
When I started reading Bendis she hulk was a throwaway line in Alias. On reading the free comic on the marvel site I found a great little marvel universe version of Ally McBeal. Actually, I hate Ally McBeal, this is way better. Y'see, when shes not 9 ft tall and green Jennifer Walters (Bruce Banner's cousin) is a lawyer in New York. This means that it's not all pointless conflict that won't stick. They get the chance for great cameos and comic moments. For instance: Howard the duck screaming about how "that hack" promised him a three picture deal!

Lastly...
Is anyone at all, besides me, reading House of M?

Thats an interesting comment about the ending of the first issue of Infinite Crisis and one, I would have to agree with you on, but not so harshly. I dont think it will alienate rather it is just a weak plot device, or story turn IMHO.

Havent read OMAC - may do so. I actually think I know the characters in DCU fairly well at this stage, very well, actually, and felt it was a great adult orientated story line.

I agree with you on Daredevil, definatly the best run ever. After re reading Visionairies and some of Denny O'Neils work, I reckon teh current run that Bendis hs done is the best. More fluid and planned than Millers work, IMHO, and more consistant now at this stage.

Fraind I havent looked at House of M, although am reading New Avengers right now, in HB graphic.

I think I'll leave a green alli mcshite to one side Wink thanks

whats in this week - strt a new thread

Well, ok, I felt aileniated.

(sits in corner listening to 'how soon is now' by the smiths.) Evil or Very Mad

Hurm, we need a goth smiley.

Yea, I'm being a bit harsh.

Not suggesting you know the charicters better, I read omac after reading the infinite issue ! and it made a whole lot more sense to me.

Daredevil... Gah! I must read more clasic Daredevil. I've only read the odd few Millar things and the Kevin Smith run.

Is anyone else reading Jack Cross by Warren Ellis, it's a regular DC title but for mature audiences. It's the most confused book I have ever read. Bloody odd.
