Is paranormal classed as fantasy or scifi?
Or should it be put under horror?
Whats your opinion on this Genre? |

Is paranormal fiction?
Depending on the story line it could be any or all of the three. There are few hard and fast lines between genres _________________ "Real heroes have a bald batch, bad teeth and a beer gut" - King Kong 2005 |

| I think it's be closer to fantasy than sci-fi, meself. Or maybe horror, depending on how it's treated. Sci-fi is usually more science/future based, whereas paranormal stuff is more mystic/past based (what with all the ghosts and whatnot). I mean to say that sci-fi looks towards the future for its stories, whereas paranormal looks more to the past. (I am, of couse, generalising hugely here, but you catch my drift I hope) (And if you do catch my drift, please then return it to me, as I can only move in straight lines without it) (Aha) |

The reason for the Para-question was
-Was i justified in Stocking Paranormal Fiction when OR specialises in SciFi and Fantasy? And why Para and not Horror?
Over time and some book buying the answer was yes... Para sells.
