Sci-Fi Club, Dublin, Ireland
Issue 27 - 2003-01-19

As you may have heard, the Freemasons had to postpone for a few months due to external (and non sinister) reasons. So what's going to happen for the February meeting?
Any volunteers / ideas?
Quickly, or you'll be listening to me again.

For the next few months, the proposed outline is

March - The Dublin SciFi Awards ceremony
April - Hoaxes and Conspiracies
May - Freemasons

Why am I outlining future events when I'm leaving?

Well someone has to. Besides which we have someone who will be helping out - and he'll be introduced at the February. Still looking for a third person, hopefully someone new. That way the running of the club can be rotated. So sorry guys, it looks like you'll have to put up with me for a while longer.

Upcoming events:

What: The 1st 'Irish SF News' Table Quiz
When: Wednesday 26th February at 8:00 PM
Where: Back Bar of Exchequer Bar, Central Hotel, Exchequer Street, Dublin 2
How Much: E24 per team of 4 people

Questions, set by Pádraig Ó Méalóid of Irish SF News, will be the usual heady mix of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, TV, Movies, Comics, Cartoons and assorted popular culture, amongst other things.
Proceeds to go towards the running of Irish SF News and P-CON.
For more information contact Pádraig at

If anyone knows of any more events coming up let me know.

Goodbye for now
