Sci-Fi Club, Dublin, Ireland
Issue 40 - 2004-11-01

In the last couple of weeks, we have learned that our regular venue,
Bowes Pub on Fleet Street has changed hands. Apparently the new owner
will be taking over this week, and we don't know if our meetings will
be able to continue there in the future. Unfortunately it isn't
possible to hole this month's meething there.

Rather than make a decision before we know what the new owner's
position is, we've decided to make a change for just this month and
decide what to do for the long term in a week or so.

So on Tuesday 2nd November, we will meet in the upstairs lounge of
The Lord Edward, 23 Christchurch Place. It's at the end of Dame Street,
opposite Christchurch Cathedral and next to Burdocks fish and chip

This isn't private, but it is generally very quiet, so we're not
having a formal meeting or any talk or raffle, just a couple of drinks
and chat among friends. All are welcome, of course.

We are also looking for some help with the running of the club going
forward. It doesn't take a lot of time or effort, but one or two
people helping out would give an injection of new ideas and make a
big difference. Drop us an email if you're interested.

We look forward to seeing you at the Lord Edward, and another mailing
about the club's future home will follow soon.

All the best,

James Shields
