Octocon Needs You
Mon 22nd Mar 2004
Octocon's Chairperson, James Brophy, tells us that Octocon is currently looking for help. While they have the basis of what looks like an exciting convention, they want some new to come forward to help bring it all to fruition. This includes people to help run the weekend, as well as smaller activities in the run-up. They are also looking for ideas for what you would like to see at your convention. We hope you will come along to put forward your ideas and views. The details are below:
This October will see one of the biggest Octocons ever staged and we want you to be a part of it.
As we draw nearer to the convention the time has come to expand our committee and build upon the strong foundation of great guests and events we have lined up.
We are looking for people to fill key positions on the Octocon committee, run fundraisers and help shape the future of the event by doing smaller jobs from outside the committee.
It's an excellent forum of suggestions so if you have ideas about the future of Octocon; come along. We'd be glad to add to the list of good ideas.
It all begins on Tuesday March 30th, upstairs in Bowes pub, Fleet Street from 8pm. I look forward to seeing you there.
