Irish Fan Wins TAFF

LostCarPark was delighted to receive news that James Bacon will be representing Europe at this year's Worldcon in Boston. He has been declared winner of the Transatlantic Fan Fund, which sends fans actoss the pond in alternate directions.
Over 200 people voted, with James winning by a fairly small margin. Fifteen people expressed no preference, showing that many people thought highly of both candidates.
According to Tobes Valois, the event organiser:
After a well fought race between Anders Holmstrom and James Bacon, we can now announce that the winner of TAFF 2004 is James Bacon who will attend the Worldcon in Boston.
Although Anders managed to just squeeze into the lead in US side votes, James won overall with 112 first place votes compared to Anders' 82.
James is due at Noreascon Four (the 62nd World Science Fiction Convention) from September 2nd to 6th and further trip plans are being finalised.
