release date UK 27 May. Ireland not mentioned. However the Savoy will be showing from Friday 26th May.

CineWorld arent booking that far ahead yet but I assume they will do the same.

DaVinci Code? well if ya wanna see a Ron Howard movie with Tom Hanks in it then this is your movie, personlly I'd like to see a real movie.

Actually I now agree. I have heard the reviews and it sounds awful. I will wait for "a real movie".

Spoilertastic thoughts..

That was one odd, odd film.

The plot was excelent. Pity the dialogue was so incredably bad. Literally, No cleche was left unsaid. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and so forth.

Add to that, the second film reminded you of what mutation was and let everone demonstrate their powers when in small and primarally visual ways during the introduction.

Wolverine estinguishing his cigar on his hand = he feels pain and he heals quickly

Iceman and Rogue are about to kiss but are hesitant. In the bakground we see peter hand a drawing of rogue kissing iceman and hurting him in the process to another kid and laughing about it.

Iceman is handed a soda by wolverene and he makes it frosty by blowing on it.

and so on..

Clearly that was the effect of Brian Singer on the previous scripts because everyone just stands around and yammers at each other aquardly instead of demonstrating powers like it's just daily life for them.

I really felt sorry for Cyclops. After the clasic phoenix controlling his power and keeping his beems in his eyes All of what would naturally be his scenes are handed streight to wolverene.

It's still got that great plat cooking for it and that christ they dident do the actual phoenix story line as the major arc swings of it would be Very silly in a movie this length.

Jean is inhabited by a space born entity while piloting a spaceshutle back from magneto's asteroid base. Jean picks a more embopurd superhero name then Marvel girl and an ailen federation turn up and try to destroy her. then she is mind controlled in to becoms the black queen by wealthy industrialists who are also mutants who like to ware 18th century costumes on a daily basis.

Mabye in five or ten years we could see a good X-men tv series turn up. Something that could build up Cyke as a full charicter with his own plotlines and use wolverine a little more apropriately.
